How Do You Stay Organized?

I truly believe that organization is key to a healthy life style. I have always always held this belief strong to my heart because I feel as if it is so important. Staying organized is something I feel makes me feel at peace with myself. I hate when I cant find something, or my room is out of place because I feel like it puts a damper on my whole day and makes me feel a mess!

So, in order to keep away from frustration and bad days due to lack of organization I follow these five rules to stay as organized as I can.

  1. Keep a planner- I have kept a planner from as young as the first grade ! I truly feel as if id be lost without one. In my planner, under each day of the week I have something I want or need to do for that specific day. I have specific times for each thing I have to do on that day, and I feel that when I look at my planner every morning and throughout my day it helps me complete the tasks I need to get done.
  2. Keep a checklist- Keeping a check list is similar to a planner, but it something I like to have to feel productive at the end of each day. I try to complete each task on the list that I make in the morning, and every time I do I end up feeling so accomplished.
  3. Make your bed in the morning- This is something SO simple, and I am sure many people already live by this, but making my bed is the first thing I do in the morning, and I truly feel it starts off my day the right way. I love coming
  4. Make sure your phone/laptop is charged ALL the time- I HATE if I wake up forgetting to have charged my phone or laptop. I hate this because then when I leave for work or class I feel so disheveled. I now make sure I make a “charging station” in my room for my phone and laptop before I go to sleep.
  5. Keep a healthy eating schedule- With work, and class sometimes its hard to remember how important it is to eat throughout the day. I usually start my morning with a smoothie because it fills me up until about 2 when I eat lunch. I try to eat in the morning, afternoon, and then of course dinner. When I keep a healthy eating style I feel very organized and overall more productive.

Thus, I find a organized lifestyle leads me to overall be happier. I love ending my day knowing I have everything in place, and am managing to keep a productive organized day. I follow these five rules to stay on track, and I find they are very helpful.
